Trade unionists under attack in Colombia

Colombia is a dagerous place to be a trade unionist. Those defending worker's rights face threats, intimidation and attacks beceause of their activities. Nineteen trade unionists were reportedly killed in the first half of 2007 alone.

Amnesty International calls on the government, guerilla forces and companies in Colombia, and the international communitiy and labour movement, to take urgent steps to promote and protect the human rights of trade unionists.
