Background to the change
From 2010 to 2023, Amnesty International Switzerland published all Urgent Actions (UAs) on the separate website ua.amnesty.ch in English, German and French. Writers could set up an interest profile and received specific email notifications about new actions or follow-up actions (Further Informations / FIs).
The UAs are now integrated directly into the amnesty.ch website. This website is currently being revised in a comprehensive relaunch project. Until the new website goes online (around summer 2025), the Urgent Actions will be published on amnesty.ch in the interim phase with slightly less «functionality»**:
- At the end of each week, a weekly alert is sent by email with a list of new Urgent Actions (and updates) published during the week.
You can subscribe to weekly e-mail alerts announcing the latest Urgent Actions in either French or German:

- For many UAs there is now a mail button with a pre-written email that can be sent directly.
- Ready-made model letters as Word documents for downloading/printing.
- We now have a picture for each UA.
- ** Unfortunately, no "counter function" is currently possible.
- ** No automatic email according to selected topics/countries.
- ** Unfortunately, topics and countries cannot be filtered in the UAs
